Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy walks through what personal information we might collect from you, how we use it, and who we might share it with, whenever you visit the Site, use our app, or make use of anything else we offer. We take protecting that information seriously, and we’ve written this policy to explain the safeguards we have in place. We’d encourage you to read the whole thing before sharing any information with us, so there aren’t any surprises.

By using the Site, our app, or our services, you’re agreeing that information about you — including personal information — gets collected, used, and handled the way this policy lays out. Please give it a careful read.

A Note on Our Gardening Content

Easy Way to Garden shares tips, tutorials, and project ideas related to gardening, landscaping, and outdoor home projects. This content is offered for general informational and inspirational purposes only, and some projects may involve tools, chemicals, or physical activity that carry inherent risks. We’re not liable for injury, property damage, or plant loss resulting from any project or advice found on the Site, and you should always follow manufacturer instructions, local regulations, and reasonable safety precautions before attempting anything you read about here. If a project seems beyond your skill level, consider hiring a qualified professional instead.

What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies only to easywaytogarden.com. It doesn’t apply to, and we’re not responsible for, any third-party website the Site may link out to, even if that link appears on one of our pages. This policy is limited to how we collect, use, and store personal information gathered through this website; it has nothing to say about how any other party handles your information.

Information We Gather

Along with third-party vendors, advertising networks, internet service providers, and the advertisers who help support the Site, we typically use tools like cookies, web beacons, and JavaScript-based applications to collect a few types of information about you as you interact with the Site. These may include:

  • Personal Information — details that could identify you, like your name, address, phone number, email, employment status, and similar information you give us when you register or reach out. If you tell us this kind of thing about someone else, we may collect that too.
  • Demographic Information — broader traits that describe a group rather than you specifically, such as zip code, mobile carrier, age, gender, income range, education, marital status, occupation, military background, industry, and general interests.
  • Behavioral Information — information gathered automatically as you browse, including which pages and features you use, your IP address, general location, browser type, operating system, domain, access times, and sites you visited beforehand.
  • Third-Party Information — information we get from outside sources, such as first- and third-party cookies, anonymous identifiers, persistent identifiers, email opt-in records, search engine keyword data, and information other parties have gathered from public government records. We don’t control, and can’t access, the tracking tools used by these outside parties (advertisers, ad networks, ISPs, analytics providers, social platforms), and we’re not responsible for how they operate.
  • Children’s Information — we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen (13). If we discover we’ve collected personal information from a child under 13, we’ll delete it promptly.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technology on easywaytogarden.com to make your visit more enjoyable, show you more relevant content, and track how well our marketing is working. Cookies are small files that store bits of information about visitors, helping us recognize you and remember your preferences on this visit and the next. Some cookies disappear when you close your browser; others stay on your device until you delete them.

How We Use What We Collect

We use the information we gather to:

  • run, provide, and maintain the Site;
  • improve, personalize, and grow the Site;
  • do whatever it is you gave us the information to do;
  • understand how people actually use the Site;
  • build new products, services, features, and functionality;
  • communicate with you, ourselves or through partners, for customer service, updates, and marketing;
  • send you information about goods or services, ours or a third party’s, that might interest you;
  • let you know about changes to the Site or its features;
  • deliver the services we offer;
  • respond to your questions;
  • catch and prevent fraud; and
  • fulfill any other purpose you’ve agreed to.

Sharing Your Information

We can share information that doesn’t identify a specific person without restriction.

Personal information we collect may be shared:

  • with our partners, affiliates, and subsidiaries;
  • to carry out the purpose you gave it to us for;
  • for any purpose we told you about when you gave it to us;
  • with third parties marketing their own products or services, unless you’ve opted out;
  • with a buyer or successor if we merge, get acquired, restructure, dissolve, or otherwise transfer assets;
  • with contractors, vendors, and partners who help run our business, all bound to keep it confidential and follow our privacy standards; and
  • whenever you’ve otherwise agreed to it.

We may also share information when the law, legal process, or a government or regulatory requirement compels us to; to enforce an agreement; or when we reasonably believe it’s necessary to protect the rights or safety of Easy Way to Garden, our users, or the public.

Easy Way to Garden follows the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7704) and its regulations. If you’d rather we not share your Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) with third parties for their own marketing, you can ask us to stop using the process below.

Advertising and Analytics

We work with outside advertising and analytics companies who may place ads for us elsewhere, track and report on those ads and this Site, and run their own ads on our pages. They may collect information about which sites you’ve visited and which ads you’ve interacted with, plus details like your IP address, when you visited, your internet provider, and your browser. This may be combined with PII, like your name or email, and used to deliver ads on our behalf or someone else’s, by email or through social media. We may also use this combined information to better understand how visitors use the Site and interact with our ads.

Your Choices

You’ve got options for how your information gets collected and used. You can choose not to give us personal information when you visit easywaytogarden.com. Your browser may also let you decline cookies from the Site. Keep in mind some features may not work as well without certain information.

California Resident Rights

Right to Know What Personal Information We’ve Collected, Disclosed, or Sold

(a) You can ask us to disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we’ve collected about you. “Personal information” here excludes: (i) information lawfully available from government records; (ii) de-identified or aggregated consumer information; (iii) information outside the California Consumer Privacy Act’s (the “CCPA”) scope; and (iv) personal information covered by other sector-specific privacy laws.

(b) To request the specific personal information we’ve collected about you, email privacy@easywaytogarden.com with “CCPA Request” in the subject line.

(c) Once we get a verifiable request, the CCPA requires us to confirm you’re the consumer the information concerns. We may ask you to click a link sent to the email on file, or reply to a confirmation email.

(d) We collect personal information from these sources:

  • directly or indirectly from your activity on the Site and your interactions or communications with us, including information provided to obtain a product or service from us or our network partners or advertisers;
  • information you provide for promotions or contests we or our clients (including networks and advertisers) sponsor;
  • information from surveys, customer service correspondence, and general feedback;
  • information analytics companies provide about demographic characteristics not linked to your personal information, plus information from other online or offline sources, including third parties who help us validate self-reported information or verify what we already have, which helps us keep accurate records and offer relevant products and services; and
  • information from service providers and other third parties described in this policy, including advertisers, advertising networks, and technology providers.

(e) We disclose or share personal information for these purposes:

  • to provide the services or products you registered for;
  • to let a third party market its products or services to you;
  • to provide information, products, or services you requested, or to resolve concerns or opt-out requests;
  • to notify you about products, services, events, or news that may interest you;
  • to improve the Site, its offerings, and how content is presented, including through testing, research, and product development;
  • to personalize your experience and deliver relevant content and offers, including targeted advertising through the Site, third-party sites, email, or text, with consent where the law requires it;
  • to preserve the safety, security, and integrity of the Site, our products, databases, other technology, and our business;
  • to respond to governmental or law enforcement requests and comply with applicable law, court orders, or regulations;
  • to evaluate or carry out a corporate restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or sale or transfer of business assets; and
  • for other purposes disclosed at the time of collection or otherwise permitted by the CCPA.

(f) We disclose personal information to our service providers and to these categories of third parties: our affiliated companies; data aggregators; advertisers; advertising networks; and third parties connected to products or services we and/or they provide you.

Right to Request Deletion

(a) You can ask us to delete personal information we’ve collected or kept about you in the past twelve (12) months.

(b) Send a verifiable deletion request by email to privacy@easywaytogarden.com with “CCPA Request” in the subject line.

(c) Once we confirm your verifiable request, we’ll tell you the categories of personal information collected and where it came from.

(d) This policy already discloses our business or commercial reasons for collecting or selling personal information, plus the categories of third parties we’ve shared it with.

Right to Opt Out of the Sale of Personal Information

You can tell us to stop selling your personal information. If you’re in the middle of requesting a product or service, this right is subject to a reasonable exception needed to complete that request, but you can still require us to stop all future sales afterward.

Right to Non-Discrimination

You won’t be treated differently by us for exercising your CCPA privacy rights. We won’t deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, deny discounts or benefits, or give you a lower level or quality of service as a result, nor suggest that doing so will lead to any of those outcomes.

Authorized Agents

Only you, or someone registered with the California Secretary of State and authorized by you, may submit a verifiable request about your personal information on your behalf.

Limits on Requests

You may submit a verifiable access request no more than twice in any twelve-month period. Your request must (a) give us enough information to reasonably confirm you’re the person the information concerns (or their authorized agent), and (b) describe the request clearly enough for us to understand, evaluate, and respond to it. The CCPA doesn’t let us provide personal information if we can’t verify your identity or authority, or confirm the information relates to you. You don’t need an account with us to submit a request, and information you give us for verification is used only for that purpose.

Response Time and Format

We aim to respond to a verifiable request within forty-five (45) days of receiving it. If we need more time (up to ninety (90) days total), we’ll email you explaining why and how long it’ll take. We respond in writing, by email. Any disclosures cover only the twelve (12) months before we received your request, and we’ll explain if we’re unable to fully comply. We provide responses in a format that’s easy to use and lets you transfer the information elsewhere without much trouble.

Amendments to This California Notice

We may amend this notice at any time, at our discretion, with changes effective going forward from the date we post them. We won’t give notice beyond updating this page, so please check back periodically.

Visitors Outside the United States

The Site is published in, and meant for, residents of the United States. While we try to protect the personal information of all visitors and follow applicable local privacy laws, the Site and our policies are built around U.S. law. If you’re unsure whether this policy fits the privacy laws where you live, please don’t use the Site or share your personal information with us.

If you’re located outside the United States, understand that any personal information you provide will be transferred to the U.S., where privacy laws may be considered less protective than those in your home country. By voluntarily providing personal information from outside the U.S., you consent to our use of it as described in this policy and to its transfer to, and storage in, the United States.

Children’s Privacy

We’re committed to protecting the privacy of children under thirteen (13). We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we’ll remove any personal information about a child under 13 as soon as we become aware we have it.

Updates to This Policy

We may change or update this Privacy Policy at any time, without advance notice, and any updated version takes effect on the date listed as its effective date. Check back periodically to stay informed about how we collect, use, and share your personal information.

How We Protect Your Information

We take the security of the information we collect and maintain seriously, and we use reasonable technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to protect it — though we can’t guarantee these measures will stop every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose information. You can help protect your own information by using encryption and other protective tools. You’re responsible for the security of information you send us, or that you view, download, or access, over unencrypted, public, or otherwise unsecured networks.
